Is Now the Right Time to Work Toward Better Health?
By Genevieve Cunningham
Improving your health should be something that stays on your priority list. Almost everyone has room for improvement. Unfortunately, so many of us keep pushing it lower on the list. We always think that we'll get to it later, but then later never comes. We always think that some other time will be a better time. But is that true? Probably not! If you're guilty of delaying the inevitable change that has to happen, take a look at why you should choose to do it right now.
Why Not Now?
It might sound a bit silly, but the honest truth is that now is all we have. If you don't do it now, you may never get the chance. Why shouldn't you do it now? What could possibly be more important than your own health? It doesn't matter what's happening in your life either. If everything is going wrong or everything is going right, it's still a good idea to better your health. Start small -- as small as you need to -- but start moving toward better health now.
Changes Take Time
Here's something really important to remember about making changes in your life: They are absolutely going to take time. Nothing will be fixed overnight. It will take months of dedication to begin to see changes. But that's why you should start now. If you don't, the time will pass anyway, and you'll be left with having to start anyway but with less time than you had before.
Health is a Battle Worth Fighting
It might be hard to change your health. It might take some setbacks. It might take some money. It might --no, it will! -- take time. But since your health determines your overall quality of life, it's worth it. Making positive changes in your health can help you feel better, look better, and may even add years to your life.
To answer the question as succinctly as possible: Yes! It's the right time to change your health. Reach out for help if you need it. Ask for advice and do your research. Make a plan that works for you, and then go after it with your whole heart. In changing your health, you may find a better quality of life and a happier demeanor every day.
